Enjoy a few more game drives in Tarangire to start your day, before heading to Karatu near Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an extinct volcano embracing 100 sq miles, alive with lions, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many more games.
Today you’ll journey towards the Central Serengeti for a day of game drives. Exploring the rolling plains in search of large predators & their prey, gentle herbivores. Central Serengeti is beautiful year-round with many resident animals.
After enjoying breakfast at your tented camp, enjoy a day of game drives, exploring Central Serengeti. The Central Serengeti is a vibrant hub of wildlife activity, where the iconic plains teem with predators and prey year-round, making this a prime location for witnessing dramatic predator-prey interactions.
Continue exploring Serengeti National Park! Depending on the season, destinations may vary based on the wildebeest migration. Dec-Mar explores Ndutu & the Southern Serengeti, while May & June explores the Western Serengeti. If visiting in July-October, expect to explore the Northern Serengeti.
Enjoy a morning game drive through the Serengeti and journey to Ngorongoro Crater, stopping at a Maasai Village & Olduvai Gorge en route.
Continue to explore Ngorongoro today, descending into the crater for game drives exploring the short-grass plains. Witness diverse wildlife and landscapes. Return to Arusha for dinner and lodging at Arusha Planet Lodge.
All good things must come to an end! After checking out, you’ll be transferred to JRO Airport for your return flight. Ask us about extending your trip with an optional add-on day trip to Mount Kilimanjaro.
