Itinerary

Day 1-

Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

Met upon your arrival in JRO and transferred to your hotel located near the airport.

Day 2-

Arusha / Tarangire

Today, after breakfast, we drive to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch; the park is renowned for its large elephant population. Game drives in the park.

Day 3-

Tarangire / Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Another game drive safari in Tarangire; then later in the day we drive to spend the night at the Crater rim.

Day 4-

Ngorongoro / Serengeti (Central)

Today we will descend onto the Crater floor and spend the first half of the day enjoying game drives in the Crater, exploring the short-grass plains of the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100sq miles alive with lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many more game. Later in the day we drive to Serengeti and spend the night there.

Day 5-6-

Serengeti (Central)

Game drives safari in the Serengeti, exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti National Park in search of the large predators and the gentle herbivores, on which they feed.

Day 7-

Serengeti / Lake Manyara

After breakfast, we will have another game drive in Serengeti, and then drive to Lake Manyara with an optional visit to a Masai Village ($60/vehicle), and an optional visit to Olduvai Gorge ($36/person). Spend the night in Lake Manyara.

Day 8-

Lake Manyara (Safari or Cultural tour) / Kilimanjaro / Addis Ababa

Morning game drive safari in Lake Manyara Park. The park is home to colorful birds, elephants, zebras, giraffe, hippos’ antelopes, and other animals. 

ALTERNATIVELY, (instead of game drive safari in Manyara): After breakfast, we drive to the nearby Mto wa Mbu area (7kms from Manyara park’s gate) to do an approximately two hours’ cultural tour which will include visiting banana/rice plantations as well as walking safari with traditional healers who will explain the medicinal values of the indigenous plants.  

We will drive back to Arusha and proceed to Kilimanjaro Airport where you’ll catch your flight to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. You’ll spend the night at a hotel located inside the secure area of the airport.

Day 9-

Addis Ababa / Victoria Falls

Today you’ll proceed to catch your flight to Victoria Falls. Met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel located in Victoria Falls town.

Later this evening, you’ll embark on a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

 

Note: It is possible to spend your nights on the Zambian Side of the falls. Simply let us know if this is what you’d prefer and we will advise you accordingly.

Day 10-

Victoria Falls

You’ll spend the day enjoying arranged activities in Victoria Falls. First you’ll embark on a tour of the falls in the morning. Later this evening, you’ll go on a Boma Dinner, enjoying African drum show.

Day 11-

Victoria Falls / Cape Town

The morning is spent at leisure. After checking out, you’ll be transferred back to the airport and catch your flight to Cape Town. Met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel located in the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 12-

Full Day Cape Peninsular Tour

Nowhere else in the world treats you to the level of scenic beauty that’s on offer in the Cape Peninsula. Experience it all on this spectacular day tour that introduces you to the rugged coastline while en-route to renowned Cape Point.

Pass the city’s famed beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, before heading to Chapman’s Peak Drive. This impressive 15km route cuts into the jagged mountains surrounding Hout Bay harbor, offering unspoiled views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Once you arrive at Cape Point Nature Reserve, you’ve entered the renowned south-westernmost point of the African continent. It’s here that famous shipwrecks throughout history have left their skeletons.

Choose to hike to the lighthouse at the top or ride the funicular to the peak. Or stretch your legs on one of the many walks on offer, all of which treat you to the local fynbos blooms.

Next up you’ll experience another natural wonder, the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach. A haven for this endangered species, you get so close to these charming creatures, you can even swim with them!

Heading back takes you along the False Bay coast, where you can visit the charming seaside villages of Simon’s Town and Kalk Bay. Perfect for dining on a seafood feast to end the day’s activities.

Day 13-

Winelands Day Tour

This morning following breakfast, your guide will collect you to embark on a full day winelands.

Winemaking is a centuries-old pastime in Cape Town, and there is no shortage of estates that are well known for their craft. This tour introduces you to the signature wines of the Franschhoek and Stellenbosch regions and treats you to a bit of history along the way. Customized to your preference, you can choose to focus your trip on tasting your favorite varietals or experimenting with the locally grown specialties.

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet the winemaker or take an intimate cellar tour. You can opt for the much-loved wine and cheese pairing or satisfy your sweet tooth with a wine and chocolate tasting. In between glasses, be sure to look for the vineyard’s art collection. Some estates boast galleries or sculpture gardens that feature local and international artists. In addition to award-winning wine, this region also has several spectacular restaurants. Let yourself be tempted by the serene surroundings and culinary delights and enjoy lunch with a view while testing your newfound wine knowledge.
