Overview

The Marangu Route Kilimanjaro climb is a well-loved and established path to the Roof of Africa. Also known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” this is the only trail that offers accommodation in mountain huts rather than tents—perfect for those who want extra comfort without compromising the adventure. The route follows a direct in-and-out path up the southeast side of the mountain, with a gentle gradient that moves from rainforest to moorland to arctic summit. With its structured layout, cozy huts, and scenic terrain, the Marangu Kilimanjaro Route is ideal for first-time high-altitude trekkers looking for a classic Tanzanian mountain experience.
