Itinerary

Day 1-2-

The Victoria Falls Hotel, Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, guests will be met and transferred to the Victoria Falls Hotel by road where they’ll spend the next two days at the hotel. This hotel is within walking distance (3~5minutes) from the falls entrance.

Popularly known as “the grand old lady of the falls”, The Victoria Falls Hotel is situated in the Victoria Falls National Park, a world heritage site. The hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens, lily ponds and century-old shade trees overlooking the magnificent Victoria Falls, an ideal location for river cruises and helicopter tours. A ten-minute stroll, via a private footpath, leads to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World: the Victoria Falls.

The Victoria Falls Hotel has 149 rooms ranging from Standard rooms, Classic rooms, Stable Signature Wing rooms, Premium rooms, Deluxe suites, Executive suite, Presidential/Livingstone suite and the famous Royal Batoka suite. All rooms are air conditioned and en-suite with a shower and bathtub. Inter-leading rooms are also available for families where parents can occupy a room that links the neighboring children’s room through a private doorway.

The hotel is delightfully quiet with several lounges and secluded areas. With 3 restaurants, the Livingstone Room, the Stanley’s Terrace and The Jungle Junction, the hotel is famous for its five-star service that is aimed to leave every guest feeling like royalty. Traditional high tea is served every afternoon at the Stanley’s Terrace with spectacular views of the Victoria Falls Bridge, while the Stanley’s Bar is an amazing spot to relax with a sundowner whilst listening to the roar of the mighty falls.

Guests can cool off by a swimming pool set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, overlooking the falls. The guests may also relax in the in-house residents’ lounge and art gallery. Located next to the poolside is an open-air bar area with thatched gazebos. The hotel has a gift shop and Jewellery shop specializing in colonial and ethnic memorabilia, as well as an in-house activity desk.

Activities in the area can be arranged at additional cost, these include but not limited to boat cruises, tours of the falls, canoeing, white water rafting, scenic flights, Victoria Falls steam safari express and many more.

Day 3-4-

Chobe Game Lodge, Chobe

Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent lodge situated within the boundaries of Chobe National Park. Built along the riverbanks with spectacular views of the Chobe River and floodplains, this well-established lodge is a prime venue for guests to explore the Chobe National Park

Guests are accommodated in a relaxed and luxurious environment in tune with a timeless Africa. Chobe Game Lodge has forty eight rooms which are river facing, offering air conditioning and overhead fans, a complimentary mini bar, en-suite bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have a private terrace.

Other facilities at the lodge include a large swimming pool with terrace, a riverside boma area, a fully equipped conference room, internet lounge, gym, beauty salon, stylish bar with an outside terrace overlooking the Chobe River and a cigar bar with a champion sized billiard table. Chobe Game Lodge also has a reference library with lounge and therefore offers plenty of areas for you to relax between game drives. Meals are catered for at the terrace restaurant overlooking the Chobe River.

Your days will be spent exploring the Chobe National Park in open 4X4 safari vehicles led by professional guides, and boat cruises along the Chobe River.

Chobe National Park
This property is located within the Chobe National Park, providing the prime bush location for exploring the Chobe Riverfront. The location inside the park gives guests the advantage of a head start on vehicle traffic entering the Riverfront from Kasane for activities, and therefore a more exclusive Chobe safari.

Day 5-6-

Camp Okavango, Okavango Delta

Following a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast guests will be transferred to Kasane airport for their onward air transfer to Camp Okavango.  You’ll spend the next two days enjoying shared activities offered by the camp.

Camp Okavango is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assuring a year-round water wilderness experience. Camp Okavango is a romantic and peaceful haven, offering an idyllic getaway.

Camp Okavango consists of eleven guest suites and one family suite. The rooms are approximately 80m2 in size and are elevated off the ground, allowing for expansive views out over the Okavango Delta. Each room encompasses a lounge area, bedroom area and expansive en suite bathroom. The rooms open up to the front completely with stacking doors leading out onto a large private deck. The bathroom includes a double vanity, double shower and separate toilet.

All rooms are connected to the main lodge area by means of elevated walkways through the trees and vegetation of Nxaragha Island.

All game-viewing activities are conducted by experienced professional guides and include exploring the Okavango Delta by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) and motorboat. Guided nature walks on the various islands afford an opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness. Bird watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered.

Airstrip Transfer Time: 5 minute walk; however please note that during the wet season the airstrip can get flooded in which case alternative arrangements will be made.

Day 7-8-

Camp Moremi, Moremi Game Reserve

After an early morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, guests will be transferred to Camp Moremi by light aircraft, where they will stay for two nights enjoying shared activities offered by the camp.

Camp Moremi is situated on the picturesque Xakanaxa Lagoon in the eastern extremity of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve. The area is a wildlife haven with incredible game viewing opportunities year round.

Twelve spacious thatched safari tents rest on slightly raised wooden platforms and reflect a modern yet warm, natural feel. All are en suite with shower, basin and toilet. One room is a family unit comprised of two en suite tents linked by an interleading door. Subtle touches in each room include a fan, tea/ coffee making facility, small hairdryer and eco-friendly bathroom amenities. All rooms have private decks with scenic views of the surrounding Moremi Game Reserve.

The communal areas of Camp Moremi feature an unusual bar, carefully constructed around a large termite mound and ebony tree. With elegant brass fittings and graceful soft furnishings, the inviting lounge leads on to the library, elevated dining area and open air deck. These are linked by boardwalk to the fireplace, situated in the front of the camp. An outdoor boma, swimming pool and curio shop complete the expansive central camp spaces.

Activities offered are game drives in open safari vehicles exploring the diverse range of habitats within the reserve – from open floodplains to belts of mopane woodland. Guests can also venture out onto the open waters of the Okavango by motorboat, visiting the Xakanaxa Lagoon and beyond up to the seasonal heronry at Gadikwe.

Day 9-10-

LeRoo La Tau, Boteti River - Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

Following the morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, guests will be transferred to Leroo La Tau by light aircraft and spend the next two days enjoying shared activities offered by the camp.

Leroo La Tau rises majestically above the Boteti River which stretches across the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.

Accommodation is in twelve chalets, accommodating a total of twenty-four guests in camp. Each chalet is incredibly spacious with two beds, one double and the other single. The rooms have en-suite facilities that overlook the Boteti River. The chalets are spectacularly built at the edge of the escarpment and have glass sliding doors opening to a private deck affording incredible views. The main lodge area at Leroo La Tau is built out of natural wood, brick and thatch, housing the lounge, bar, dining room, reception area and curio shop.

Having explored the area and enjoyed a spectacular wildlife phenomenon on guided day and night game drives, guests can retire after dinner to a splendid fireplace overlooking the river. The lodge also offers a raised hide above the river where guests can enjoy the spectacular wildlife sightings that we’ve come to expect in this part of Botswana.

Day 11-

Safari ends in Maun

Following the morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, guests will be transferred to Maun by light aircraft for their onward travel arrangements.
