This region is famed for its dramatic landscape, framed by the stunning Virunga volcanic mountains. Settle into your lodge and enjoy a peaceful evening preparing for your adventure.

Start your day with breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing. Embark on your first gorilla trekking experience through the dense bamboo forests. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, but the reward is an awe-inspiring hour with these majestic mountain gorillas. After your trek, return to your lodge for lunch, and later transfer to Kigali for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, return to Volcanoes National Park for your second gorilla trekking experience. Tracking a different group of mountain gorillas enhances your viewing and photographic opportunities. After the trek, enjoy a leisurely drive back to Kigali, where you’ll check into your hotel for the night.
Depending on your departure time, you can visit the impactful Kigali Genocide Memorial, a tribute to Rwanda’s resilience and hope. Afterward, you’ll be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward journey.
