After you arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, your lodging transfer will meet you with a warm welcome to Tanzania! From there you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you can rest & recharge for the rest of your journey.
Today your personal Good Earth Tours guide will meet you after breakfast at Airport Planet Lodge (8-8:30) & together you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park. Renowned for its large elephant population, prepare to be wowed! Upon arrival at the park, enjoy a picnic featuring local cuisine & flavors.
Spend the day continuing to explore Tarangire National Parks wonder & beauty on game drives & a walking safari. Enjoy an optional add game drive at night.
Today we drive to Ngorongoro crater, an extinct volcano embracing 100 sq miles, alive with lions, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many more games. After some time to check in and rest at your lodge, you’ll enjoy an afternoon walk around the crater rim with an armed professional guide. Witness a wide array of gorgeous bird species, wildlife, plants & flowers, and spectacular views of the crater floor. You’ll then return to your all inclusive lodge to relax before an extraordinary private bush dining experience during sunset.
Continue to explore Ngorongoro today, descending into the crater for game drives exploring the short-grass plains. Witness diverse wildlife and landscapes. At lunchtime return to the lodge for lunch or spend the full day exploring with a pre-packed lunch box.
After breakfast, we head out to Serengeti National Park, with an optional visit to Olduvai Gorge*, a historical archaeological site brought to light by the Leakey family. You also have the option of visiting a Maasai village* to immerse yourself into their culture. Enjoy a game drive on route to Serengeti & once arriving to the park
Continue your adventure through the Central Serengeti, exploring the rolling plains in search of large predators & their prey, gentle herbivores. Central Serengeti is beautiful year-round with many resident animals. Enjoy a complimentary sundowner in the evening provided by your lodging. Level up your adventure with an optional hot air balloon safari*!
Continue exploring Serengeti National Park! Depending on the season, destinations may vary based on the wildebeest migration. Dec-Mar explores Ndutu & the Southern Serengeti, while May & June explores the Western Serengeti. If visiting in July-October, expect to explore the Northern Serengeti.
All good things must come to an end! After an early morning game drive, a driver will take you to the nearby airstrip where you will be flown back to Kilimanjaro Airport on time for your flight back home. Upon arriving at JRO, relax in a day room with lunch & local drinks at the Airport Planet Lodge. Return to JRO for your flight home on a lodge airport transfer.
