Day 1
Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Welcome to Rwanda! Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll meet your guides for a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Ruhengeri, Rwanda’s second-largest town. This region is famed for its dramatic landscape, framed by the stunning Virunga volcanic mountains. Settle into your lodge and enjoy a peaceful evening preparing for your adventure.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Start your day with breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing. Embark on your first gorilla trekking experience through the dense bamboo forests. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, but the reward is an awe-inspiring hour with these majestic mountain gorillas. After your trek, return to your lodge for lunch, and later transfer to Kigali for an overnight stay.

Day 3
Second Gorilla Trek and Transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, return to Volcanoes National Park for your second gorilla trekking experience. Tracking a different group of mountain gorillas enhances your viewing and photographic opportunities. After the trek, enjoy a leisurely drive back to Kigali, where you’ll check into your hotel for the night.
