Day 1

Arrival in Cape Town

Welcome to Cape Town! Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you'll be greeted and transferred to your hotel located in the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, a hub of dining, shopping, and cultural experiences. Spend the evening exploring or relaxing at your leisure.

Day 2

Cape Town – City Tour, Table Mountain & Blouberg Beach

Start your day with a guided orientation walk through the bustling V&A Waterfront, then embark on a comprehensive Cape Town city tour. Highlights include a scenic ride up Table Mountain (weather permitting), exploring the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, and visiting Blouberg Beach for postcard-worthy views of the city and Table Mountain across the bay.

  • Table Mountain (or Signal Hill, weather-dependent)
  • City landmarks such as Parliament, City Hall, and the Castle of Good Hope
  • Bo-Kaap and Green Market Square
  • Stunning vistas from Blouberg Beach

Please note: as the operation of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is weather-dependent, the cable car fare is on your own account and is payable at the ticket office. You are requested to be ready for pick-up at 09:00, and will be back at the hotel at approx 17:30.

Day 3

Cape Town – Cape Point & Penguins

Journey along the scenic Atlantic coastline to Cape Point, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Enjoy the rugged beauty of Chapman’s Peak Drive, the playful penguins at Boulders Beach, and a leisurely visit to the renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Please note: for those who do not feel up to the steep walk to the view site at Cape Point, there is an electrically powered funicular railway, the only one of its kind in the world. The cost of the funicular is included. You are requested to be ready for pick-up at 08:30, and will be back at the hotel at approx 17:30.

Cape Winelands – Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch

Venture into the Cape Winelands, known for stunning vineyards and historic towns. Savor wine tastings at premier estates, enjoy the quaint charm of Franschhoek, and explore Stellenbosch’s Cape Dutch architecture.

On Accommodation: the City Lodge Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is an excellent 3-star hotel, well located at the entrance to the V&A Waterfront. However, there are numerous other hotels in Cape Town, any of which could be used as an alternative to the City Lodge. Should you wish to be accommodated at any other hotel of your choice please let us know and we will send you an amended quote.

Day 5

Journey to Oudtshoorn

Start your adventure along the Garden Route with a scenic drive through mountain passes and charming towns. Arrive in Oudtshoorn, famously known as the "Ostrich Capital of the World," and explore the awe-inspiring Cango Caves.

  • Du Toit’s Kloof Mountain Pass and tunnel
  • Interesting and historic towns of Worcester, Robertson, Montagu, Barrydale and Calitzdorp

Day 6

Knysna – Coastal Wonders

Begin with a guided visit to an ostrich farm, then travel through Mossel Bay and Wilderness en route to Knysna. Explore the charming waterfront and enjoy a relaxing evening cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.

Knysna & Tsitsikamma Forest

Spend the day exploring the lush Tsitsikamma Forest and nearby attractions. Discover the beauty of Plettenberg Bay, visit the Monkeyland Sanctuary, and marvel at the dramatic landscapes of the Garden Route. Return to Knysna for an evening at leisure.

End of Tour

Conclude your journey with a scenic drive to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa, followed by a visit to Hermanus for whale watching (seasonal). Continue along the coastal route, passing picturesque villages, before returning to Cape Town for your departure.
