Jinja
Welcome to the adventure hub of Uganda. Jinja sits at the source of the Nile and is packed with thrill-chasing fun. Think white-water rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping and horseback rides along the riverbanks. It is the perfect place to let your inner adrenaline junkie out to play.
Chimpanzee Tracking
Kibale is the world capital of chimpanzee encounters. Guided treks lead you into thick rainforest where chimps hoot, play and swing through the canopy. You can join a standard tracking walk or spend a full day in the habituation program where you follow a troop from dawn to dusk. It is one of Uganda’s most exciting wildlife experiences.
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can track rhinos on foot. Guided walks bring you safely close to these incredible giants while supporting vital conservation efforts aimed at restoring rhinos to Uganda’s wild parks. It is a meaningful and memorable experience.
Sipi Falls
Sipi Falls delivers instant jaw-drops. These dramatic cascades plunge more than 100 meters over steep cliffs on the slopes of Mount Elgon. Spend the day hiking between viewpoints, exploring local coffee farms, or, if you are feeling brave, abseiling straight down a waterfall. Sipi is Uganda’s postcard moment.
Rwenzori Mountains National Park
The Rwenzori Mountains feel like a world entirely their own. These misty giants rise into alpine meadows, glacier-fed lakes and wild peaks, making them one of Africa’s most extraordinary trekking destinations. Multi-day hikes take you through everything from rainforest to Afro-alpine landscapes right up to Margherita Peak, Africa’s third highest. It is an adventurer’s dream for anyone craving real wilderness.
Musanze Lava Caves
Formed by ancient volcanic eruptions, the Musanze lava tunnels offer an unforgettable underground adventure. You’ll walk through wide caverns dripping with roots and illuminated by soft natural light filtering in from above.
