This 8 day Northern Tanzania safari takes you on an unforgettable journey through some of Africa’s most iconic landscapes and wildlife destinations. Beginning at the foot of Kilimanjaro, you’ll make your way through the birdlife rich shores of Lake Manyara, the endless golden plains of the Serengeti, and the breathtaking walls of the Ngorongoro Crater, before finishing among the ancient baobabs and elephant herds of Tarangire.

Day 1

Welcome to Tanzania!

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your safari adventure begins. Your driver will greet you and escort you to your comfortable hotel, just minutes away from the airport. Enjoy a peaceful evening settling in and recharging for the incredible journey ahead.

Day 2

Arusha & Lake Manyara & Karatu

After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park , One of Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. You’ll spot elephants roaming through the forest, giraffes grazing along the shoreline, and flocks of flamingos colouring the lake pink. The Treetop Walkway takes you above it all, walking through the forest canopy for a perspective on nature you won’t forget.

In the afternoon, step into the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu. Home to over 120 ethnic tribes, this is Tanzania’s cultural heartbeat. Watch Makonde woodcarvers at work, sample local banana beer, and explore the bustling market. It’s real, it’s alive, and it’s the kind of experience that stays with you long after you leave.

Central Serengeti

This morning, the road takes you deep into the heart of the Serengeti, The world’s most iconic wilderness. Day 5

Serengeti National Park

After a hearty breakfast at your tented camp, the Serengeti awaits. Your day unfolds across Seronera, The beating heart of Central Serengeti and one of Africa’s greatest wildlife stages. This is Big Cat country, where lions laze in the golden grass, leopards drape themselves over acacia branches, and cheetahs scan the plains with razor-sharp focus. With wildlife around every corner and sweeping landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see, today is the kind of day that reminds you there’s nowhere else on earth quite like this.

Day 6

Serengeti / Ngorongoro

Your morning kicks off with one final game drive through the Serengeti, a last chance to soak in the endless plains before the road calls. From there, your journey winds toward the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, with two incredible stops along the way. Step into a traditional Maasai village and get a glimpse into a way of life that has stood the test of time. Then explore the Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world, where the story of human origins begins to unfold.

As the sun dips low, your camp near the crater rim comes into view, and with it, some of the most breathtaking scenery in all of Africa. Tonight, you sleep on the edge of a wonder.

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire

Early in the morning, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game driving inside one of nature’s greatest amphitheatres. The crater floor is teeming with wildlife, lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes all sharing this incredible enclosed world. At midday, settle in for a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool, one of the crater’s most memorable spots, before heading back out for the afternoon drive.

As the day winds down, the road leads you to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees that rise dramatically against the African sky. Arrive at camp as evening falls, with dinner and a well earned rest waiting for you.

Optional: Night Game Drive in Tarangire — $285 per person

As darkness settles over Tarangire, a whole new world comes alive. On this optional night game drive, spotlights cut through the darkness to reveal genets, civets, porcupines, and hyenas going about their nocturnal lives. The cool night air, the sounds of the bush, and the thrill of the unexpected make this a completely different safari experience, and one you won’t want to miss.

Day 8

Tarangire & (Departure)

During the dry season, wildlife gathers along the Tarangire River in remarkable numbers, making for some of the best game viewing of the entire journey. Massive elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and a landscape alive with predator activity set the scene for one last unforgettable morning in the African bush.

Later in the day, the road takes you to Kilimanjaro Airport, where your Tanzania adventure comes to a close. You’ll leave with a full heart, incredible memories, and more than a few photos that will never quite do it justice.

Optional: Morning Walking Safari with Armed Ranger — $80 per person

Before the drive out, lace up your boots for an hour on foot in the bush. Guided by an armed ranger, this walking safari brings you closer to the details that a vehicle can never quite reach, animal tracks pressed into the earth, medicinal plants, the rustle of something nearby. It is intimate, thrilling, and the perfect final chapter to your safari story.
